About Toridori.
Toridoriについて
Toridori is a tea brand that introduces you to the fascinating world of Japanese tea. We took our name "Toridori" from an old Japanese term "toridori-nari (とりどりなり)" — "many different things" — to persue various faces of Japanese tea and to spread its charms in Belgium.
The story of Toridori started in 2022, when Erina encountered three people in Japan and in Belgium: her old home and new home.

TORIDORI SEASONAL LETTER 12.
Japanese Girls Festival / Hinamatsuri
Toridoriの季節便り
ひなまつり
In Japan, there is a pair of the traditional festivals, each of which dedicated to boys and girls. This month, more specifically on March 3, we celebrate Hinamatsuri (雛祭り): Japanese Girls Festival.
Originally a religeous purification ritual in the ancient Japan, it has gradually evolved into the festival to wish for the good health of girls. In the middle of Edo era, the simple woody dolls — they would be floated away in the river to carry the evil away — became the current gorgeous decoration to place in the house.
Like any Japanese traditional festivals, there is a special plant that is dedicated for Hinamatsuri: Peach. If Japanese apricot blossoms symbolizes Japanese February, peach blossoms does March. Not just coloring early spring Japan with its cute pink flowers, this plant is also one of the holy plants to drive away evil spirits in Japan.
Soon it will be April, the season of sakura blossoms. Until then, let's enjoy the beauty of early spring with a cup of good tea with a peach flower petal :)
